Hey guys So I'm looking for different band presets for guitar rig 5, (what I'm really after is a great nu-metal tone that will really shine on power c.
Hello guys. Here some presets for guitar rig 5.looking to traditional metal bands tones.Metallica,Pantera,Megadeth,Ozzy and iron maiden. In my opinion guitar rig isn't the best amp sim.but its pretty easy to use and very light CPU power consumption.i really like the delays and reverbs from GR5.The heavy distortions are a little bit 'digital' sound.but is useful. All the guitars recorded by me with my eagle EGP 10 guitar loaded with hotbuckers. OBS: NO POST EQ - NO COMPRESSION.NOTHING.JUST THE PLUGIN. Used backing tracks in the recordings. No original guitars playing here.
Hope you guys enjoy this video and these tones help you in something.Subscribe to my channel for more guitars stuff. Cheers!:D m/ FOLLOW ME ON FACEBOOK!
PRESETS Revalver 4 Metal Tones - Amplitube 4 Metal Tones - Bias FX Modern Metal Tones.
I'm new to dialing in a good tone and needed some help with EQing and different settings. I'm looking for a heavy sounding rhythm tone, but want to stay away from cutting my mids because I heard it might sound good on it's own but wont cut through the mix at all in a recording.
(I know I sound like a generic metalcore kid right now, I promise you I listen to a wide variety of music). My current gear: Basswood body LTD with EMG 81/85 set tuned to Drop C (CGCFAD) with GHS Boomers. Audiobox USB for a guitar interface. Logic Pro X and Guitar Rig 5 for amp modeling. Current Setup in Guitar Rig (Starting from top of chain): Tube Compressor Skreamer - Vol. 3, Tone, 7, Drive.
3 Van 51 w/ matched cabinet - Low.5, Mid 6, Treble 8. And an Equalizer for a little extra low end.
I know this is a lot of info and still very vauge at the same time. But if there is anything sticking out that is an obvious NO for a good metalcore/hardcore tone please let me know.

Click to expand.I see a couple of things that stand out: 1) NEVER use the matched cabinets. If you don't want to use external impulse responses, at least use the 'Control Room Pro' module in Guitar Rig 5 Pro for your cabs, as those are all RedWirez.
Pick the 'Gratifier' or 'Rammfire' options there as those are IRs of a Mesa 4x12. Play with the mic selection options. 2) Your Screamer/Skreamer settings seem weird. Just max out the volume, turn the drive to Zero, and put the tone around 6-7. 3) Try the Van 51s Green Channel with the gain cranked, as well as the Red Channel with more moderate settings. 4) Don't be afraid to slightly scoop the mids (Treble 6, Mids 3-4, Bass 6) on the amp.
